A Little Bit About Me
Hi, I'm Amir. I was born and raised in NY. I like to draw and read. I usually keep to myself, except when I'm spending time with family. I observe Salaah and eat Halaal, Islam is a big part of my life, it keeps me centered. I'm a Sunni-Hanafi muslim. I don't party, or even go out too late, not sure if it's an age thing or just me. I have a steady job, and it's great because of the flexibility. I don't possess any college degrees, however that has never hindered me from being happy, providing for myself, and hopefully a family Inshallah. Recently gained 'Uncle Status' to a beautiful niece, she's almost a year and I love hanging with her. I enjoy learning about Islam, and science. I'm a sucker for a good documentary. Usually open to new things, in fact I hope to find someone that can help me get out of my comfort zone and mix things up. I love animals, and greater outdoors. About my pics, I recently trimmed my beard, I know, I know...already growing it back. Will add pictures, but honestly I am not a huge fan of my picture being taken; feel free to ask me more!

What I Am Looking For
I am hoping to find someone kind, and like minded. Ideally someone who practices their deen and prioritizes Islam. Observes salaah, halal food, and hijab; I do not limit that to covering the head, as I don't wear a coofie/topie regularly these days, I would not expect my significant other too unless she genuinely wanted to. I do admit however that it would be cool if we both can grow closer to Islam together when the time comes. I want to grow as a Muslim, there is so much more to learn, and I would like to do this alongside someone like minded in this respect. Companionship has become important me over the years, and I am looking for something long-term ultimately, hopefully marriage. I am open with speaking with parents first or during, and my parents are also willing if needed; I am no stranger to the process. Being able to communicate first is important to me, as I prefer to get to know the person a bit before moving on to the next step. I am okay with talking/emailing first, but am also open to meeting when the time is right. I also prefer someone in the NY/NJ area. Feel free to ask me anything!
