A Little Bit About Me
Never thought I'd end up on a site like this, but I've been told I'm getting on a bit, so here we are lol. I'm a bit of an introvert. Love poetry, stargazing (hence the username), travelling, reading, cooking, long drives, baby animals, chasing sunsets. Been on a few solo adventures now and I can't wait to get back out there. Nothing beats an island breeze. Also a homebody. I'm still trying to figure out how that combo works too.
Health conscious. Both with fitness and nutrition, but all in moderation. If the body would like a burger, then a burger it shall have. Dabble in a bit of yoga and bellydance occasionally, in private of course. Recently got into boxing but somehow it's mainly me holding the pads while my nephew hits them. He rarely lets me have a turn, so I suppose that doesn't really count haha. (You've probably already noticed, I also laugh at my own jokes a lot). This isn't going well, is it?
Moving swiftly on lol.. I enjoy writing. Currently trying to self publish my first book and midway through writing another. I love anything that lets me get creative! Interior design, event planning, graphic design, etc (& yes the wedding is already planned, thank me later haha). Generally, I don't like to follow the crowd. I like to think thats a good thing though?
As cliched as it sounds, I also love trying new things. My bucket list is super long. Although I draw the line at making cringeworthy tiktok videos or eating rare steak. I guess I'm just one of those commoners who likes their meat cooked lol *insert disapproving looks here*. Fun fact: I dream big. A growth mindset is everything.
Deen is incredibly important to me. I struggle with hijab currently, but I complete all of my fardh duties and maintain my connection with the Qur'an daily. (Just a little sidenote: I don't participate in mawlid, khathams, visit darbars or peers, wear taweez etc.). I wouldn't call myself a hifdh student, but I am trying to memorise specific surahs with basic tafseer, and also recite the ones I've already memorised daily. Surah yasin, mulk etc.
I'm very much a girly girl but also not afraid to roll up my sleeves and get stuck in when I need to. I'm now rambling so I'm going to stop here. *face palm*. Oh and my rotis are round? Just thought I'd casually drop that in there. I've heard it's the only thing that matters on a rishta CV haha.

What I Am Looking For
First and foremost, someone who is practising or at least trying to better themselves spiritually. Life is nothing more than a journey back to God, and I'd love to be able to walk with someone who makes the road to Jannah easier for us both. I'm not expecting a saint lol. Simply someone who is actively trying to maintain a connection with Allah. Someone who follows religion over culture. Beyond that, the basics: Loyalty, patience and respect.
Humour! I can't spend the rest of my life laughing at my own jokes. I mean, I suppose I could, but where's the fun in that lol. Humour is the way to my heart. My biggest pet peeve is arrogance. So, humility is a must.
Someone who tries to look on the bright side of life. Shared interests would be preferred, but if not, its not the be all and end all. As long as they are passionate about something. More importantly, someone driven and independent.
I like to look after myself, physically, mentally and spiritually. So someone who looks after themselves in a similar way would be appreciated. Someone who can hold a conversation beyond "wuu2?"
Can I get an amen? Lol, it was rhetorical, please don't slide into the dm's with an amen. I don't know how I'd reply to that haha.
I'm not perfect so I'm not expecting perfection either. Don't be afraid to say hi if you think you meet the above. Last but not least, I hope that each and every one of you find your soulmates. May Allah grant you ease in your endeavours.
