What I Am Looking For
VERY IMPORTANT! Please read this section as I have very specific preferences and dealbreakers.
- Practicing Muslim who prioritizes their relationship with Allah and is striving toward taqwa and Jannah (knows and practices his fardh 'ayn and strives to implement as many sunan as possible)
- Follows one of the four schools in fiqh practices
- Someone who values and demonstrates good akhlaq through humility, kindness, sincerity and respect
- Intellectually curious, reflective, and committed to lifelong learning
- Emotionally intelligent and grounded, able to communicate with depth and compassion
- A reader who shares a love for books (I'd love to build a home library together)
- Family-oriented and sees marriage as a partnership built on mutual understanding, faith, and shared growth
- Wants to build a nurturing, deen-centered home and be an intentional, present spouse and parent
- Someone who is masculine, has gheerah, and is not miserly
- Open to new experiences and has a sense of adventure, both in life and in spirit
- Open-minded and respectful towards diverse cultures and traditions, as long as they align with Islamic values
- Ideally between the ages of 29-40
- Has a beard or is trying to grow one
- Never married
- Divorcee will be considered under specific conditions
- Maintains a healthy physical and mental state
- Holds a professional, respectable, stable job
- Is not in major debt
- Has never smoked, drank alcohol, or do any drugs
- No illicit relationships
- Does not use vulgar language
- Does not watch anything with nudity, excessive baseless violence or language
- Does not listen to music or play musical instruments
- If any of these dealbreakers existed in the past, it is understandable (no on is perfect and we cannot expect each other to be) as long as one has made (or is making) active efforts to move away from a life of a sin and working towards getting closer to Allah in the proper manner.
- No preference on ethnicities or race, but I am currently only looking for someone in Canada or the U.S. As the oldest in my family with no brothers, I have an obligation towards my family and wish to stay within the same continent at the least.
Any questions or concerns, please ask :)
