A Little Bit About Me
Salaams...! I am a fun-hearted guy who is looking for an intelligent, happy, and caring wife. I am looking for a beautiful Muslima who uses Islam as her guide to daily life. She doesn’t have to wear Hijab, but must have self respect in how she carries herself. I want to meet a confident Muslima who is secure enough not to have to flaunt her beauty to the world, but impresses others with her outlook, personality, motivation, and intelligence. I want my partner and I to lead each other by example, becoming stronger in our Faith day by day. What do I have to offer? I am a jokester, a thinker, and an all-round optimistic guy, and it takes a lot to bring me down. I love comparative religion, the ocean, movies about personal struggle and triumph, modern architecture and design, photography, playing acoustic music, intellectual banter, community service for the less fortunate, and visiting my family and friends all over the US. I am a neat freak, I am honest and very reliable, and I am responsible, even tho I am a bit of a procrastinator sometimes. I am NOT a die-hard TV sports guy, nor can I stand reality TV– I would rather watch Animal Planet, Nat Geo, Discovery, Shark Tank, international news, or do something more constructive or creative with my time. I like to dress up and look good when appropriate, but I am definitely not a Gold Rolex guy. I think I look several yrs younger than I am, because my patients still ask me when I graduated school (I try to take that as a complement..!). I pray 5 times a day as best I can, fast during Ramadan, pay my Zakat, respect my parents, and try to always remain humble. I take Friday off every week for Jumuah, travel, and personal business, and have ever since I finished my fellowship. I want to complete my Deen with marriage. I use true Islam as my guide for everything I do; it is the best check and balance system for keeping on the right path. I am looking forward to having many children as well, InshaAllah!! I would like you to respect my personal time and space as I will yours, and I feel trust, communication, mutual motivation, and freedom of choice are the keys to a successful marriage, but I recognize there is no perfect formula. I don’t want to control or be controlled; Guilt and pressure are the worst motivators and only lead to resentment. I am by no means perfect, but I don’t think you will be disappointed if you are looking seriously for a life partner who will make you laugh, motivate you, provide for you and your children, and that you would be proud of on your arm walking into a crowd or taking home to meet your friends and family. I was married once before for about 2.5 years, and have no children, but am looking forward to many, inshaAllah! Please keep in mind that I am not interested in wasting time. I hope our family involvement will be a positive influence on our marriage choice as well, InshaAllah. Kudos if you read this entire extended paragraph, and May Allah sw bless all of us in our search for our life companion, Ameen!
