A Little Bit About Me
I want to be a better Muslimah every day, and I believe I was placed on this earth to use my mind for the power of good. I am a scientist and I like "geeky" pastimes and computers. I also like cats, as did the Prophet s.a.w. according to some hadith.

As to the Sunni/Shia question, this distinction is of little importance to me. We are all one Ummah and Allah s.w.t. created us as one Ummah. I put Sunni, but if I find a Shi'i brother who wishes I weren't Sunni, I want to make it's known that I'm flexible on this matter.

I also put revert, because even though I have Muslims in my ancestry, I was raised in a secular household with little religious focus. I decided to make religion my focus and return to the original Islam that some of my ancestors practiced, and I decided the only way to do that would be to say the shahadah in front of witnesses -- I did so before the entire masjid during Jummah. Insh'allah I will bring my family line back onto the straight path.

Also just because I'm part white, don't assume I can't cook Arab food! I guess it's hard to prove this online, but I do have pictures of shourabat 'adas, kibbeh, bulghar pilaf, and tabouleh that I have made recently. I also have a special hummus that I make from a secret recipe. I can also bake my future husband warm, fresh bread, if he wants me to. My mother taught me well ^_^

I have non-niqabi pictures in my private gallery. I am not a niqabi (obviously if my husband tells me to start wearing niqab, I will, but you know what I mean.) These are just for the purpose of this site to prevent anyone unsavory from seeing. Normal, non-niqabi pics are available in my private gallery -- just ask. <3

What I Am Looking For
A man who lives for Allah s.w.t. above all, who loves science and nerdy things as much as I do, and likes to play and joke around. I am serious about my religion, but I'm not very serious in every day life, and I hope to find a man who is similar.
