A Little Bit About Me
I’m a Muslim Algerian-born, American-raised woman who is unapologetically a kind, strong, value-driven and unique person. I’ve been told I’m funny, but I’m usually not trying to be! So it usually involves some sarcasm, my clumsiness or a crazy story of something I got into because of my love of having a meaningful experience with anyone and everyone I encounter (whether it’s my future employer or just a cashier at the store).

I love anything art related, especially spoken word poetry and photography. I enjoy trying new things with friends and good old traditional family gatherings, face to face discussions, and just quality time. I also love traveling, but don’t get to do it as often as I dream to.

I deeply value learning, that’s part of why I love talking to different kinds of people. I believe that there is so much we can gain from connecting with others and understanding their experiences. So I’m very excited to be a student again in the fall, when I’ll be starting a masters in social work program.

What I Am Looking For
A confidently unique man who is fun and kind and values happiness. I also acknowledge that I need a man who is organized, ambitious and active. A man who loves and respects the women in his life, and who wants a family as much as I do. I hope to find someone who enjoys traveling and deep discussions as much as I do. But, most importantly, I’m looking for someone who’s flawed but working on being an excellent Muslim, someone who I look up to in ways, and who I feel I can inspire in other ways.

Nationality and race do not matter to me. But I do value speaking Arabic, both because my family does and because I want my kids to know the language of the Quran. I also have a preference that he is educated, but not necessarily in the traditional sense.
