A Little Bit About Me
My faith is very important to me and I try my best to follow my life according to Islamic principles as much as I can. I pray salah 5 times a day and wear hijab. Though I understand culture is a part of our life; I prefer to take the ‘good’ from culture and leave the not-so-good parts out.

I’m generally a private person but am also down-to-earth and easy to get on with. Once I get to know someone I become very good friends and can have a bit of a laugh. I’m quite a calm, level-headed person who has a positive outlook to life. I try to be as just and fair in my dealings and interactions and strongly detest lying.

I come from a large family and though I enjoy spending time with them at family get-togethers whether at home, on trips to the beach, parks, etc I also like my own space and doings things on my own. I love to walk and keeping fit so engage in regular exercise from the comfort of my own home. But, that doesn’t mean I am a home-bod as I do like going out with friends; for a coffee or dinner occasionally. I also watch movies and love cooking and baking. I love watching cooking shows and home living shows like the Great British Bake Off, DIY SOS, and the like. My new passion is the environment; learning about what I can do to make our planet a better place, little things like recycling, planting trees. Some people might think this is a bit hippy but actually it’s a part of our faith to be concerned about our World and to take care of it.

What I Am Looking For
I’m looking for someone who fears Allah as the hadith suggests that this person will treat his family and wife well. He should be down-to-earth, humble, have good character, a good sense of humour, be open minded and have a strong head on his shoulders, able to make decisions, not just ‘follow’ what he is told to do. Someone who is respectful to his parents and elders and has strong family values.

I would prefer someone who is a British National, who earns halal and is educated.
