A Little Bit About Me
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh!
Bismillah Alrahman Alraheem & Peace & blessings are upon the Habib Rasulallah (SAW)
It’s been a couple of times when I had to update my profile information on a matrimonial website like this one. Never did I know nor feel that I’d be ever looking into one that seriously until it was my experience with arranged marriage proposals. In a culture where marriage is like “Scratch & Win” game, I realized the necessity to get to know the person I may end up sharing the rest of my days in this life & in the hereafter enshallah. So here are few words about me:

First & foremost is that, I never chose to be a muslimah, rather I was born to be lucky! Faithful, ambitious & optimistic is how I like to describe myself, alhamdulellah :)

I’m a 30 year old who was born & raised in the land of the two holy mosques to a mother who valued education at an early age & a father who made every effort to teach us the manners by which we live in this life today. My background is a mix of Iraqi, Somali & Saudi. My family & I descend from Al-Ishaqi AlHashimi (Ahlu Bait). Having said that, I'm a true believer in the Quranic verse “'Inna Akramakum 'IndAllahi Atqakum”

I’m a simple, easy going individual who can’t take formalities & who wouldn't make an effort to be someone other than myself. I tend to be emotional at times yet I never consider this a weakness in my personality as I know feelings are creation of Allah.
If I were asked what I want to accomplish in this world, I’d say spirituality & a road to Jannah. With all the rigid Islamic studies courses that I have been taught at school, and living in this materialistic world I feel now more than any time that I am missing spirituality in my daily busy life schedule. I chose knowledge as a road to Jannah enshallah & seek Allah's refuge from the knowledge which is of no benefit.

What I Am Looking For
I’m looking for a pious brother who loves Allah more than he loves me, able to identify his purpose in life, values family life & never materialistic. I appreciate the gift of great parents in life & I look for someone who shares that meaning too. A man’s bond with his parents says a lot about him. I plan to pursue a degree in the US enshallah & I pray I find someone that supports me on that path too.
