Asalaam Alaykumi am an American born Islam revert. My family hails from many corners or the world but i am predominately of black decent. i did not grow up in a traditional Islamic household in fact i am the product of a single non religious mother. As far as i can remember i always had a pretty strong moral compass even though i haven't always followed it. I choose Islam because i believe it chose me. my mother a non Muslim American born women name me Alimayau at birth. I've entertained other religions in the past but always felt as if i was being lied to or led astray. prayer was always a big part of my life without having to be told to do so and for the first time i feel i have found truth in the writings of the Qur'an.
