A Little Bit About Me
I was born in Thailand and spent my early childhood there. When I was about 8 years old, my family moved to Canada and we settled in London, Ontario. After high school, I went to study in Syria on the recommendation of my parents. I attended Abu Nour College in Damascus for about a year. That experience helped to improve my deen and appreciation for our religion. I returned to Canada and completed my bachelor’s at the University of Western Ontario. Between 2013 and 2015, I attended College Boreal to study French. I moved to Waterloo in 2015 to do my master’s in English Literature at Wilfrid Laurier University. In 2016, I travelled to Tunisia and worked for Amideast in Sousse and Monastir. Around the end of 2017 I went to Saudi Arabia, where I am currently working as a professor at King Khalid University.
Ethnically, I am half English and half Afghan. I am 30 years old, 174 cm in height. I have 5 brothers and sisters, 3 of whom are married. I used to do acrobatics, Tae kwon do, and boxing, but now I just run on the mountains to stay in shape. I enjoy taking road trips, reading and being in good company. I strive to always be a better a Muslim. I pray five times a day and continually study the Quran.
I am looking for a modest Muslima who is serious about her deen and future family life, caring and good-natured; someone who looks to help me improve my Iman and I theirs.

I read substantially, from literature, history, religion to science. I like to be with someone who is more to the intellectual side because then I have someone to discuss my ideas with.

What I Am Looking For
She should be someone reasonable and educated. I would appreciate someone who is family oriented. She should understand the role of a husband in Islam - that is to lead the family. I don't need a woman who will control, nag or complain. A certain level of maturity is expected. That being said, I also like to laugh and have fun; all that light stuff comes naturally if there is a mutual understanding and trust.
