A Little Bit About Me
I am currently a single mother of four children, 2 girls and 2 boys, 18, 16, 15 and 9 respectively. I have been divorced since June of last year due to on going problems in the marriage. I finally took the decision to divorce my ex husband as he had been living abroad for a considerable time and not supporting the family very well. It was not a light decision, and I tried my best for 8 years to reconcile the differences as well as raising the children single handedly. In the end I felt that this was more harmful and damaging to me and the children and had no choice but to end the relationship.
Since the divorce, I have actually become a lot more happier in myself and am now growing as muslimah. It has not been an easy journey and Allah swt has definately tested me, but alhumdullilah I have come out of it a wiser, stronger and humble person. I feel that I have gained more than lost in terms of personality and strength.

What I Am Looking For
In my brief time on this beautiful planet, I have learned that the most important aspect for me in a person is someone who is honest moreso with himself. Someone who is honest, true, kind and generous, i.e. not so much with money but giving of his time and energy. I am not looking for status, wealth or looks and I am also not firm on the 'he has to be praying 5 times' or 'the long beard'. The journey to Islam and purification can take a whole lifetime and to be quite honest I think we are all "work in progress". I want to spend the rest of my life, however long that is, being a "work in progress" with a man that is true to himself and others in shaa Allah. So I guess, the most important criteria for me is integrity, as it does'nt matter what action you perform for Allah swt, if your intention is not true or in line then the action itself is meaningless.
