A Little Bit About Me
My name is Tariq Abdush Shakur. I'm 35 years old and I'm a revert to Islam. I've been muslim since 2017. I come from an Afro-Latino background, my mother is African American and my father is Latino. I've been through my struggles in life and they've led me to become the man I am with the help of Allah. I'm very big on social reform and prison abolition. As a Muslim I stand strongly against oppression and stand with human rights.

I do take Islam serious, I read my Qur'an in Arabic and English, I pray 5 times a day, I fast sometimes on Mondays and Thursdays, and I only eat halal. I'm not extreme with my din, I follow the sunnah of the prophet Muhammad and always take the middle course. What I'm saying is I don't make Islam harder and I don't take it too lightly. So yes I enjoy music, movies, I love to read and I love to cook.
