Hmm where do I start? Ok, GENRE it is!

I like comedies (books and movies and everything in between) crime dramas (I secretly wanted to be a police officer but yep you guessed it, it didn’t happen), I can also sit and watch real crime dramas back to back and not bat an eye, but when it comes to horrors and thrillers? I sleep with the light on for the next 6 months. Did I mention I also have cocktail sticks jabbed in my eyelids to keep them open? No? well there you go.
If you haven’t already guessed, I’m a weirdo and I’m looking for a weirdo so it can cancel the weird out (if that makes sense)

In case you skipped it, I’m a divorcee but don’t have any kids. We can discuss if we match Insha’Allah, I also wear hijab and abaya (yes it’s the long flowy thing) and if that’s not what you’re looking for then please scroll on.
I’m looking for someone who is practising, no one is perfect and there will always be something to learn about the deen but one must be willing to learn in order to better themselves for this life and the akhirah.
Someone who I can look at and say yep I want my kids to be like him and follow in his footsteps. Someone who is down to earth, has a GSOH and who can be serious when need be.
I read a quote somewhere which goes something like this ‘you can choose your husband but your kids can’t choose their father, so choosing a good man is your responsibility’ and this stuck with me ever since (maybe because it’s true?)

Probably every other person says this but I honestly didn’t think I’d ever end up on a marriage app and sometimes I think all this is happening because I didn’t forward that message on to 10 people (no but seriously... is this why?) because I would much rather have bumped in to my future husband in the confectionary aisle at Tesco’s (please don’t judge me) or, you know, at the bus stop but alas we can’t always get what we want *silently cries in to her cornflakes wondering where it all went wrong*
