A Little Bit About Me
Assalamu alaikum, I am 33,34 Islamic calendar. I am a practicing African American Muslimah who enjoys gaining Islamic knowledge and learning more about my religion. I am a revert. I have no children. I am mostly a homebody but I would not mind the idea of traveling with my spouse. I enjoy gardening, tending to plants, and relaxing at home. I am easygoing generally and I am very serious about practicing my religion to the best of my ability. I have a great sense of humor and enjoy making those close to me laugh and comfortable. I have a strong and protective personality. I have a love for animals and have a pet cat who enjoys lounging and occasional mischief. I am not interested in mainstream culture that is to say I try to avoid what is meant to be avoided of it. I do not listen to music in any capacity nor do I watch television/movies. I do enjoy National Geographic documentaries or anything related to reflecting on the wonders Allah has created. I try to fill my spare time with being productive and using my time in various constructive manners and that centers around Islamic learning as before mentioned and other hobbies such as writing poetry. I also enjoy nature including hiking and camping. As a wife my “ career goals” would be staying at home and taking care of my husband and our family إِنْ شَاءَ ٱللَّٰهُ, so if you’re looking for a “Modern Muslim woman” to help you financially or 50/50 with you, catch a movie with you or perhaps a “stylish fashionista” who loves to wear makeup, be on social media, and/or display herself, I am not for you.

What I Am Looking For
Love music and movies/tv shows? We are NOT a match, full stop. I have ZERO interest in marrying a man who enjoys free mixing with women/ has female friends or deals with women for any reason other than necessity as general Islamic guidelines set by Allah dictate.



Now as for the love of my life:
I am looking for someone who is affectionate, caring and patient. He should be a man conscious of Allah and firmly practicing his religion, if your religious commitment leaves much to be desired/you have relaxed or liberal take on religion/care more about culture than religion then you are not him. Ideally he would be someone who enjoys some similar hobbies such as being in nature, going on walks or hikes with me, traveling/exploring the creation of Allah together, showing his more adventurous side. I would not mind if he was also a person who enjoys being at home as much as I do and of course having your own hobbies is great too as long as they are halal. I am also looking for someone who generally takes care of himself and respects and implements keeping fit and exercising regularly. I would expect him to be the head of the household as intended within the teachings of Islam. Most importantly he should be doing that which is pleasing to Allah and want harmony, love and tranquility in his home and be as dedicated as I would be in striving for that kind of relationship within what is reasonable and acceptable between us.
