A Little Bit About Me
As salamu’alaykum, here’s a bit about me

I came to the UK in year 9 and have been living here for the past 12 years. I consider myself lucky to share both the sylheti and British culture. I grew up in a practicing household and Alhamdulillah my parents raised me with good akhlaq and family values. From an early age I was given a lot of responsibilities and faced challenges in life which turned me into a mature, responsible, kind and grateful person.

I have quite a few nephews and nieces and would say I’m great with children. I already have experience raising my nephews so I think I’d make a great father. Inshallah I would love to have children of my own one day and I’m keen on having a Hafiz in my family.

I value Islam to be the most important part of my life. I follow the Hanafi school of thought. I pray my 5 salah, either on time or qadha and fulfil all the obligatory acts of worship plus some voluntary ones where possible. I’m trying to build a better practice of reading the Quran and doing more zikr regularly. I do weekly tajweed class to make my recitation better. Occasionally I go out on Jamaats to refresh my imaan. Overall, I always strive to better myself on my deen and grow stronger in my faith.

I would say I’m emotionally intelligent and good at reading people’s emotions. I tend to be understanding and show a lot of empathy. I don’t have any female friends and don’t believe in opposite gender friendships. I’ve never smoked including shisha or vape, went to clubs, drunk alcohol or taken any drugs.

Our body is an amaanat from Allah so I like to look after my health as much as possible. I enjoy taking walks, running and going to the gym. I’m training to build my desired body and be more fit.

Overall a loving and caring person with a good heart looking to complete half of their deen 😊

What I Am Looking For
A soft, feminine and affectionate woman with traditional values. Someone who prays their 5 salah whether on time or qadha. She should dress modestly and wear hijab the correct way. She shouldn’t be rude, aggressive or show lack of manners. She’s mindful of the way she carries herself in front of non-mehrams and doesn’t have any male friends.

She shouldn’t have any problem with the following Hadith:

Abu Hurairah narrated that Allāh’s Messenger ﷺ said, “If a woman prays her five prayers, fasts her month of Ramadan, guards her chastity, and obeys her husband, she will enter Paradise from any gate she wishes.

She should understand that marriage is a partnership where we will face many difficulties together, and so we need to work through them with patience and perseverance as guided by the Qur'an and Sunnah. She recognises that the husband leads the family and makes important decisions, but this role is carried out with the wife's support and careful consideration of her thoughts and opinions.

I’d love a family oriented person who has good relation to their parents and siblings. A simple person who appreciates the small things in life who isn’t all about materialistic things and extravagance because these things don’t have any value.

She should strive to look after her health and enjoys doing exercises. Tries to continuously better herself on her deen and gain a deeper understanding of the religion.
