A Little Bit About Me
Hi there! I consider myself to be a super chilled out gal looking to settle down (or as I like to imagine it 'settle up'). I would like to meet a man who is comfortable in his own skin, is somewhat religious or spiritual, open minded, progressive, knows what he wants, has intelligence and a great sense of humour. I sometimes lose attention if I'm not intellectually stimulated so someone who can hold a conversation and have a laugh would be great. I have a very goofy sense of humour and like to laugh - I think you really have to enjoy every beautiful day God has given you. I think you also have to try to up the cliche level on these sites, apparently!
(speaking of which) I'm very easy going, a bit of a free spirit, adventurous as well as being equally comfortable chilling out at home. I suppose the key is balance and variety. I am constantly looking to improve my mind and spirit by educating myself and trying new things. I'm a real sucker for travel, if I had my way I'd live like a nomad and explore the world. I'd ideally like to meet someone with a similar passion for exploring places and cultures. My ideal holiday would definitely be somewhere hot, and would involve lots of exploring, preferably some place with a lot of history and culture. In my spare time I do all the usual stuff really but can also be a bit impulsive and like to try new things. I also have a very creative side, you’ll usually find me curled up with a good book, watching a film or a good TV show, pogoing away at a gig, spending quality time with family, staring at a beautiful painting or laughing ... always laughing! :-) When the sun's out I like to get out there and enjoy the world. I'm not too sporty but I like to do yoga and swimming. When it comes to sports I'm more of a couch commentator :-) though I am a fan of footie and tennis. For the most part though I'm a bit of a geek and would much rather go to a museum, or dine out or generally wandering aimlessly around London talking to people (it’s not as creepy as it sounds!).
One other thing I should address is that I never understand questions about family, race, caste (really! Caste?), height, weight, skin colour, toe nail length, knee to foot ratio etc. 'All' I want is a guy who I'm compatible with, who makes me feel safe and valued and understands me, as I would undoubtedly make it my mission to do for him. I strive to accept people for who they are at their core, not the parochial things or, say, their parents' achievements. Now, I do get that marriage is about families coming together and a husband and wife respecting each others' families and everybody getting along, and I absolutely want that and will strive to achieve that inshallah, but ultimately, the crux of this whole process is that I want to find a man to love and cherish, and that is all that matters and I'm confident that all the rest will be able to comfortably stand on that foundation.

What I Am Looking For
Well I don't believe in having a checklist as I believe that Allah made us all beautiful ... having said that, I guess I'm looking for a down to earth, adventurous, happy, easy going muslim who can appreciate my goofy sense of humour :-) I also want someone who, within his heart, has a strong root in Islam and has an understanding of the beauty of our faith, as opposed to the dogma, and who will help me grow spiritually.
Generally speaking, I think it's important to connect with eachother and I'm a fairly easy going person, but if we're going to spend the rest of our lives together we should be able to have intellectual, goofy, serious, spiritual, funny and mundane chats with no problem :-)
Also, as a side note, I am happy to allow people to view my pics, but there needs to be some initial contact message to convince me to do so.
