A Little Bit About Me
An MA student. Born into an immigrant family from Dagestan, Russia. Ethnically, Circassian. Proud to be Dagestanian. Currently living in America on a student visa. Began his M.A. education in June 1st 2009 in Literature in New Mexico Highlands University, Las Vegas, NM along with a TA (Teaching Assistanship). Planning to stay and live in America and specialize in comperative literature, philosophy and theosophy.
And a little more about me...
I believe I am quite loyal to the people that I hold in high esteem. I have a very strong sense of sympathy, understanding, and devotedness. A worldview that almost only comprises of black and white -- not too much gray. Very sensitive toward others' feelings and expects to be approached that way. I have a very optimistic outlook upon things and events.
I hate bad language and make my friendship decisions accordingly. I am not a vulgar person and I can't stand rudeness, scurrility and vulgarity.
I like travelling -- travelling in the most uncommon ways like those that I ventured on two cross-country trips, one in an Amtrak train from NY to CA and the other on a Greyhound bus from CA to CO. This second one was also planned to be a cross-country trip but the conditions were so bad that I had to leave the bus in Denver.
I like to see the places that I have never seen. I don't like to be a tourist (detached/sterilized) but a real-life participant when I am in a foreign land. I want to see Morocco, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Norway, Sweden and Lithuania.
I am a professional short story writer with a book already published in America. Interested in international politics, Islamic Tradition and Civilisation, Modern American Literature. Interested in travelling, hiking, biking and driving. i like listening to music -- singing, as well as listening. I have a beautiful singing voice -- such they say. I like to listen to Kareem Salama, Westlife, Native Deen, Shane Ward, Whithney Houston, Boyzone's No Matter What... Any kind of easy listening music.
Reading is a crucial and of utmost importance part of my life. I read Modern American literature -- writers such as Hemingway, Steinbeck, Fitzgerald, London, Wharton and some few more from 19th century: Twain, Melville and Poe. And O'Henry.
I am homorous, open, relaxed and quite reserved. Loves talking when a listening ear is present. Loves listening when someone needs advice, consolation or courage or when one speaks in a great way. I am pretty good at making people believe in what they are afraid to believe. I like talking about politics, philosophy, literature, history and NBA. Let's Go, Lakers! As Rasheed Wallace says: I Love you, Kobe!
I have a strong sense of work ethics. I have a pre-determined
and well planned schedule where I could devote myself to learning new concepts and ideas each new day. I don't reserve my interest to one particular area even though my major is Literature with emphasise on Creative Writing. Instead, I also study Perennial Philosphy, wrestle with the books by Schuon, Guenon, Hussein Nasr. I like dealing with hard, demanding subjects. I love Islamic spirituality and Sufism. I like to study comperative religion, trying to reach to the Oneness in the transcendent unity of Religions -- The Source, which is Tawhid.
So the story goes...

What I Am Looking For
I strongly believe in the notion that, as Schuon puts it much more successfully than me, we cannot validly and persistently love someone without carrying that person within ourselves by virtue of our attachment to the Creator. Love begins with and ends in the Creator.
As for differences... I always cherish differences as long as there is a way to perfect completeness and compatibility.
A great love depends on a choice, but in fact, it depends largely on destiny... The complementary type of love has precedence over the degree of beauty; it is not the perfect beauty which is the ideal, but perfect complementarity on the basis of perfect affinity.
In the light of these world view, I should say, I welcome differences as long as there is complementarity. Because, in this case, the meaning of love, which is the attainment of perfection, can easily be reached. I guess I want someone who complements me and whom I complement (as Islam puts it clearly). Love calls for complementarity, not similarity, in fact.
So, I am looking for someone who is to be an equal partner in life. Someone that I can turn to, rely on, love, share, and devote. Someone whom I can share common ideals and ideas. Someone that is intimate, endearing, compassionate and loyal. A person that is ready to face life as it is --no matter what God destines for us we should be standing tall against all the harsh realities, cold winds and wearing obstacles of life.
Beauty is more an innate speciality than something that is visible on the cover. I have quite an optimistic point of view on the internal goodness of people. Judging by appearance would be the gravest mistake. Talking and sharing ideas is the only way to discern the personal quality in humankind. Interior beauty, to me, is what makes one's apperanance a beautiful one.
I would be more than blessed if you just initiate such a promising and hopefully-to-be-enduring communication.
Well, let's begin talking. Then I am sure we will have much more things to say each other than our laconic profiles can tell about us.
