A Little Bit About Me
I am someone who has a lot to offer in terms of compassion, ethics decency, a kind heart, warmth and love. I am also someone who has been told she is funny and I wanted to be a comedy writer when I was younger. I have written and published a comic urban fairy-tale and I have been writing poetry from the age of 9.

I am also serious minded and hard working as well as having a silly and funny side. I worked hard enough to stand first at three schools mashallah and still have the school reports! I did a first degree and a postgraduate degree from two good British universities and have done 12 years admin work up to senior level and 6 years teaching up to university level. I achieved this through sheer hard work and by the grace of God.

My childhood was spent studying and working hard while others my age were having fun and being young! I had to work hard for everything I've got. I take life seriously and work hard for what I want but I also have a light-hearted and fun loving, silly, child-like side.

I am looking for a quality man who is going to be my best friend and laugh with me through life's tests and trials who is not going to be jealous of my hard work and success but will support me and be proud of me when I achieve and I will do the same for him.

I like the words of the song Tonight in West Side Story where Maria says to Tony, " Today the world was just an address, a place for me to live in, no better than all right but here you are and what was just a world is a star."
I'm looking for the exceptional individual who checks out facts and doesn't deal in lies ( I have suffered because of people who lie- we live in a world where countries go to war on lies and lying has become casual- people will do it for money or for a grudge).

I am looking for a man who is honest and decent, ethical and sincere with a heart for God, someone who will make me laugh and re-discover the wonder and joy that I felt as a child. I am looking for my best friend and my companion, someone who makes the world seem like a better and a brighter place just by being in it.

I would love to have a healthy and happy family before it's too late and have a home full of love and warmth and laughter, something I missed out on in my youth as a divorced single parent's only child.

I want to do all the things I never got to do as a child. I want to learn to ride a bike, go skating, play the violin . I would love to be a fairy godmother to all the Cinderellas in the world!

My favourite scene in a movie is the last scene in the French film Amelie where she and her partner Nino are speeding through the streets of the city on a bicycle made for two. There is a sense of elation that they have found each other AT LAST and a sense of childlike joy. I would love to feel that sense of elation someday when I find my other half. I hope that God will guide us to each other soon.
