A Little Bit About Me
Salam, Hello. I'll try to keep it concise (though it's turned into an essay!):

My free time is usually spent in learning, exploring and keeping fit. I read quite often, rejuvenate in greenery when possible and burn fat at the gym.

I'm a person that can love deeply, whole-heartedly and unconditionally. I can also trust easily with a drop of foolishness.

An introvert by nature; I'm considered friendly and approachable. You're likely to find me in the background than the centre and, more of a listener than a talker.

I'd like to think I am God-conscious, though my journey on the 'straight path' can be 'zig-zag'. I attend gatherings that have a focus on cleansing the heart and spiritual development. I learn and practice from Hanafi fiqh. My priority is to form a deeper connection with the Creator. I don't watch television and purposefully limit my screentime.

My vice, if you like, is listening to music. It's partly for the HIIT sessions, but also to accompany my walks, and for the long distance driving I sometimes enjoy. I avoid lyrics and probably listen to artists you've never heard of.

The world is full of delusions, much confusion and, plenty of distractions. I remain a believer of 'traditional' gender roles and mostly think good of all (though the latter has got me in trouble). Despite the challenges and the tests of the temporary abode, I'm generally a positive-thinker, an aspiring minimalist and a fairly pragmatic individual.

What I Am Looking For
Seeking a God-conscious, responsible, assertive, yet compassionate individual.

I'm looking for a soul-connection, a type of magnetism - which I know exists, but difficult to find.

I'm attracted to intelligent and responsible males. I value those that have the ability to persevere and the willingness, strength and patience to make a relationship work.

A man who is responsible, respectful and can treat his wife with (mostly) care and kindness. He will get these in return. He will also be fully aware that he is to lead and to protect her. A good man will automatically get love and respect - not just out of honour and duty.

Ideally, he will lead in (our!) family and also confident that his wife has his back, no matter what the circumstances. He should recognise that a person has more strengths than weaknesses, because he too will be viewed in the same light.

In his spare time, he will TRY to seek sacred knowledge by attending classes/part-time courses and practice as much as he can. I learned the very hard way that it is not enough to practice the 'basics'. In a very digital age, what are the excuses to not learn? Furthermore, he will
- understand & practice good health habits. By that I mean lead a fairly active lifestyle, which doesn't include eating out all the time.
- value time and therefore avoid distractions and try to be productive. This relates to entertainment and screen time 'amusements' and,
- giving to people/family.
He will understand they are interlinked when it comes to God-consciousness and worship.

In sum, I am nowhere near perfect and I don't expect perfection - we're not meant to in this life. But the above characteristics are ones I can work with, and I hope vice versa too.
