A Little Bit About Me
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Alhamdulillah, I have been practicing the Deen to the best of my ability for over ten years. I strive to adhere to the Quran and Sunnah and I am seeking a spouse who aspires to do the same.
I come from an open and understanding family and so ethnic or provincial background does not pose a boundary for marriage.
Alhamdulillah, I have spent a year traveling to several Muslim countries with the primary purpose of studying Arabic including Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania and Algeria. The experiences I gained throughout my travels was very rewarding, alhamdulillah, and I hope to relive/embark upon similar journeys with my future spouse insha'Allah.
I have continued to build upon my Arabic with the aim of benefiting not just myself but also teaching others insha'Allah.
At University I studied Environmental Geoscience and completed a masters in Hydrogeology. I now work as a Geoenvironmental Engineer on various infrastructure projects, Alhamdulillah.
The work is essentially geology related - and no, that doesn't mean I just play with dirt!... Sorry, I must always clarify, haha.
Although I consider myself ambitious in my respective field of science I am also very interested in certain subjects of the humanities and enjoy reading and discussing social/existential topics.
I occasionally take trips with a group of close friends, mainly to scenic areas such as The Lake District. I also enjoy working out at the gym a few times a week and occasionally play tennis and other sports. At home I usually while my time away reading and listening to discussions around topics of interest.
I’m seeking a spouse who aspires to give the Deen paramount importance and endeavours to grow as a person along the way through learning the Deen and experiencing the world around us.
If you feel we share the same core values and would like to explore our compatibility further then feel free to get in touch insha'Allah.
بارك الله فيك
What I Am Looking For
I’m seeking a spouse who aspires to give the Deen paramount importance. Ultimately, someone who endeavours to do more in servitude to Allah SWT and grow spiritually and as a person along the way.
I hope to raise children who are religiously observant, and also well-rounded and capable of negotiating through the challenges they would face in an ever-changing world.
