A Little Bit About Me
No one can really write down what we are truly like and if you can hats off to you...as for me I still believe even though I’ve seen a lot and been so many places I’m still growing…

I’m really outdoorsy, I love rock climbing, abseiling and anything that’s off the beaten path - some of the best trips I’ve had are the ones where I’ve got lost or not planned it!

I’m blessed to have some truly amazing friends who are just like me (which thinking about it now must be really scary for some...as there’s a pack of Muslim sisters climbing all over the woods, building fires and tents lol really freak out the locals!).

I’m a big foodie even though I’m vegetarian. I was brought up in a small village in the English countryside (hence the 'always climbing trees') and my grandfather helped me learn to shoot and hunt, so I’ve never been shy cooking meat. I’m actually really good (lol tooting my own horn a bit) but I do have a bad habit of watching the weirdest youtube cooking video - the ones where people eat the strangest of things - then at 2 am in the morning I find myself cooking (comfort food lol).

I've been told I have a great sense of humour and don’t run off if someone pranks me (it just means war lol). I'm told I laugh a lot and I guess I always try to see the positive in everything and it takes a lot to dampen my smile...

I’ve been married before and have two children. I don’t have a negative thought about that time in my life as I feel Allah has plans for all of us and we learn from these tests and I feel stronger from it, and many of the prophets' (PBU Them) wives were divorcees or widows...

I’m very arty - I love making things and doing DIY and yes I can wire a plug lol. I also love photography - just taking an image you’ve seen and being able to look at it from so many angles.

I do also have a nerdy side - I love gadgets and anything techy but no I don’t own a selfie stick or spend 3 hours a day editing my pictures lol. But I do love finding out how things are made or what makes them move...

I’ve been lucky to travel a lot as I have family all over the world and also with my sisters. I’m don't go to all the touristy places - I like it off the beaten track, seeing how things are behind the scenes. I feel we miss so much in this world as so many spend so much time following the crowd where on the other hand I think I’m a wolf and not part of the flock...

What I Am Looking For

Well isn’t this the age old question... what are we looking for... this is a question I ask myself a lot and I’m asked (hence why I’m on here - sisters say ‘come on, you need to find someone’).

For me it’s always been a connection outside of looks - I guess I don’t see myself as the world does. I don’t have 3 hours out of every day to spending in front of the mirror and when men approached my family because they have seen me, it always felt like they were interested because of the way I look, not me myself.

I need a partner I can grow with and who can teach me and learn from me and when we are grey and old to look at and feel connected.

For my partner to know I complete their deen and know I’m there through it all and I know they're there... unfortunately we live in a world of image and popularity and that shouldn’t be the case...

It would be great if they like the same things as me but it's not a be all and end … as I’m always up for pushing myself and trying new things and I feel it’s important to help your partner inshallah.
