A Little Bit About Me

My specs: I'm 31, 6’ 1”, slim build, Canadian with Eritrean/Yemeni roots, speak English and Arabic, Muslim, Sunni, and practicing. I have no children and have never been married.

About me: Mildly extroverted, i.e. outgoing and socially confident, but also low-key, shying away from the spotlight; a nature enthusiast who enjoys being in wildlife, travelling to different countries, hiking different trails in the various countries that I have visited and will continue to visit, inshaAllah; a reader who enjoys nonfiction books – from history books, to Islamic sciences, to poetry; somewhat athletic and keen on sports such as swimming, basketball and soccer (apologies if you call it football); and I happen to enjoy visiting museums, and I often find myself getting lost in them – I mean literally, those maps are impossible to follow!

I am a family oriented person, so I place importance on family values and always try my best to be there for my family as much as I can. I like to socialise with my close friends when I do find the time. I try my best to keep healthy through exercise and proper diet.

Education & Career: I completed a B.A in Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations, Minored in History and in English literature. I'm currently working as an English Instructor at a University in Saudi Arabia at the moment.

What I’m looking for:

I want to raise a family upon Islam and raise righteous children who will be a benefit to themselves and others in this world and the next.

Deen: Someone who attempts to practice Islam to their best ability irrespective of whatever shortcomings they may have. Someone that has a relationship with the Quran and strives to continue developing their spirituality.

Personality: A sister with a kind heart, dutiful to her parents and has a strong moral compass. Someone that is independent/self-reliant, modest, nurturing (and by extension, wants to have kids).

Language: Someone that speaks Arabic fluently or at the very least understands it.

Education: Has completed some sort of higher education.
