A Little Bit About Me
As Salaam Alaykum,
I have a B.A. in Political Science w/Concentration in International Relations and currently going part time for my Masters in Public Policy. I recently just started my program. Currently I'm working as a Banker for a financial institution, I've been doing it for over a year, and, Alhumdulillah, doing quite well. You may be asking yourself what my academic career and current occupation have in common? The answer is absolutely nothing lol. After graduating InshAllah, I plan on working within the government sector or for a large NGO (non governmental organization.) But Truly, Allah (swt) knows best. I believe the combination of my academic background and current occupation has given me a good mix.
I would describe myself as someone who is straightforward, creative, motivated, yet laid back, understanding, outgoing, funny (only because everybody says I am...lol) above all, God Fearing. I firmly believe that once a Muslim gives full submission to Allah, this person will be guided throughout their duration in this world and in the hereafter. In other words, serve AlIah by serving mankind, perform prescribed prayers, pay Zakah (if able), have Sabr, be clear in speech when talking, speak the truth even if it opposes your own interests, and, trust Allah with all your heart. Such attributes are what I strive for and look for in a spouse. I don't have to have an extravagant lifestyle or a large bank account. I believe that one should live in moderation, of course, within the boundaries of Islam.

My family is from Lahore, Pakistan and I come from an educated family made up of entrepreneurs, doctors, and other working professionals. My fathers side is Punjabi, and moms, Urdu speaking (I have the best of both worlds). I grew up in NJ/NY and most of my family resides within the New England area. I do have family throughout the US, Pakistan, East Africa, and Europe that I keep in touch with and have visited. If you'd like to know more about my family background, just ask :)
