A Little Bit About Me
Hi, my name is Rahayu but you can call me Ayu. i'm from Singapore, a tiny country in SEA. I like the idea of meeting someone totally different from me in terms of cultural background but at the same time sharing the same values and faith. So...what else? I love learning and gaining knowledge of our beautiful deen, as the search for God is a universal truth and Islam is a gift to us.

I have come to the conclusion that people are most of the time compatible if they share the same or similar values. So here's mine:

Creativity
Love ( in a relationship with a partner, I am a romantic so I cannot imagine having a partner who is not, love in its all encompassing form on the other hand is hard but I do try everyday to practice this)
Personal growth
Spiritual growth
Insatiable curiosity about the world (I love learning new things)
Adventure(I love a good adventure and being spontaneous)

I have varied interests but if I could choose one to see if we are compatible is whether you read too. :)
Reading--(I really cannot stress this enough, I read on a constant basis so if you do not read, I'm sorry, sooner or later, conversations will get a bit dry)

Although Islam is a universal religion, I do have to say that attraction is important for me.
Additionally, I do not want to have to go through the motions of marrying into a culture as Muslims we are taught His word is the truth so if you do stressed the importance of culture over religion, I'm sorry, I don't see how this is going to work.
But on hindsight, I do love middle-eastern culture and in the future see myself being fluent in Arabic and French(I have been learning both languages on and off) so if you are already speaking any of the two languages, then that is a good start. :)
But having said that, I don't hold the belief that the ethnic background or culture of someone holds the key or guarantee to a happy, lasting fulfilling marriage. But faith, trust,mutual compassion and growing together in the deen does.
