A Little Bit About Me
I am: 27. British-Pakistani. A graduate in English with History of Art, Design and Film. Currently working as a Merchandiser and tutor whilst looking for a new career.

I love: the UK, being British Muslim and this beautiful deen!

Specifically speaking I am Punjabi though my Punjabi speaking skills are weak but alhamduLillah I get by, thankfully I am not drastically cultured so that shouldn't matter (I didn't grow up watching Asian movies AlhamduLillah & therefore quite ignorant about such things).

I dress modestly mainly in English attire (sometimes I attempt Bohemian). Masha'Allah I started praying and wearing a headscarf at around the age of 12 and have pretty much always been into Islam but around 2009 I started to get more serious about it and gave up music and started studying fiqh masha Allah.
I try to follow Qur'an and Sunnah. I follow the same line of creed that is taught by the like of Al-kauthar and Al-Maghrib institutes.

I'm not overly chatty but nor am I majorly quiet; I am quite into my religion, I like studying fiqh; Hanafi and Hanbali jurisprudence. The latter is studied with Logical Progression (though I'm currently being lackadaisical). I also enjoy attending Al Kauthar and Al Maghrib courses and many other courses by lesser known organisations.

I really like exploring the UK, especially by bike, I sometimes cycle a near-by nature trail. Apart from cycling I also practice archery, and like creative things like fashion catwalks and art exhibitions.

I don't have excessive travelling ambitions but I would love to see Australia, or Latin America, namely Brazil. I used to live with two Brazilians and Masha'Allah found them to be very interesting people. Some years ago I decided that I would stop traveling without a mehrum alhamduLillah, this can get hard at times but Allah is helping me maintain my decision. More closer to home, I'd like to travel to Bosnia and Albania- for the history but also because I think the Muslim community doesn't focus enough on our Eastern European Muslim brothers and sisters.

Overall I consider myself as: honest, creative, a tad wacky but religious. When I asked a few friends to describe me, they said [You are] 'bubbly, funny, great sense of humour…and humble', and another friend said 'up for a laugh and easy going. Take [your] deen seriously, into arty stuff. NOT very punctual lol'.

What I Am Looking For
Please note-
I am not looking to relocate to the North or Midlands. I am not a big fan of London either so only considering individuals from areas of London closer to home.
Also I am only considering British citizens.

The ideal person for me would be someone who is religious and takes Islam very seriously. Someone who prays 5 times a day and on time no matter where he is- on a plane, on Mt Snowdon, at work it doesn't matter where, if he needs to pray insha'Allah he prays. This is very important.

Another keen characteristic I am looking for is that he is active in gaining Islamic knowledge; is God fearing; does not back bite and slander. His religion makes him wise and he acts accordingly, according to Qur'an And Sunnah. Someone who shares the same Aqeedah as me, and does not innovate.

A religious, western orientated, quirky, not-heavily cultured man who whilst being western, does not break the rules of the religion. A British Citizen between 25 (if he's mature) to about 31.

I would like someone who has a beard but I don't want to put this as a fixed criteria because piety isn't based on your facial hair..lol.

Perfection is only for Allah but I do have a few undesirable/unwanted qualities:

a smoker, someone who celebrates mawlids/malaads, doesn't study the deen, chases the dunya and money.
