If you had ask me when I was at age of 7 what would I be at 28 years old I would neveR said "still single". As a little girl I thought meEting prince charming, falling in love and living happily eVer after was basically the entire point of being a woman.

When I was yoUnger I viewed marriage in a selfish way.
As the years haVe passed, I've spent cOuntless hoUrs reading and studying GOD's plan for my life. I got reVerted to Islam the best decision I made in my entire life.

One year ago, I embraced the conCept of Islam and made some large changes in my life. This coming year I am going back to KSA to fulfill my "Hajj". Christianity was my first frame of religioNs. I spent many years studying Catholic doctrine. I felt frustrated by the lack of spiritual direction in catholic school and examples of corrupt leadership in church. As much as I respected Jesus and Mary and what they represent for believers. I struggled to knOw where to direct my prayer ...to God?..to the holy spirit?...to Jesus?...it was all vEry cOnfusing as I wanted to pray to only one GOD. I admire how my muslim friends were warm and hospitable to other people of all faiths. In Qur'an I diScovered clear, direct language acknowledging a line of prophets and one GOD. Well, before formally cOnverting I knew I wanted to be muSlim. I felt mUslim and enjoyed spending time with muslims. I began to avoid alchol, eat halal foods amd changed my dating habits and become more aware of how I dressed. The word 'islam' means 'submission'...submitting to GOD and admitting your humility. I love the Islamic phrase 'InshaAllah'

I now realize that the attitudes and characteristic I haVe in my life noW will foLLow me straight into my marriage one day. I used my single years wiSeLy. These years cOuld be over sOon. I work on becOming a goOd person GOD wants me to be- a godly woman who will be a crown to my future husband...
