Salaam,

I was born and raised in the US. My parents are from Pakistan. I enjoy many of the main stream American interests. I also respect Pakistani / Islamic culture.

I like being active, especially in the outdoors. I love to hike and lift weights. I also enjoy many sports such as; tennis, soccer, martial arts ( grew up watching Bruce Lee films and Akira Kurosawa samurai films), billiards, and shooting (mainly pistols and clay pigeons).

I enjoy reading non fiction, like the news and cultural commentaries. I also enjoy reading Islamic material. My favorite subjects are: history (Will Durant's Story of Civilization), philosophy, psychology (David Brooks's "The Social Animal"), art (Impressionism, tessellations) and economics (Why Nations Fail).
