I pray that you find this profile in best of health and imaan, In Sha Allah.
I am a British born Pakistani and I have been practicing for approx over 12 years. I am a postgraduate researcher, in my third year of PhD, broadly speaking working on cancer alhamdulillah. I am passionate about my work and may Allah SWT accept all of our efforts, ameen.
I observe the hijab and believe that haya is not just important in faith but is rather the beauty of the mu’minoon and this applies to both men and women. I try my best to lower my gaze and stay within the boundaries of our deen.
Alhamdulillah, Allah SWT has blessed me with a lot of knowledge of the dunya, but what I really crave for now is pleasing the Almighty, one step towards this is by understanding His book and implementing things I learn into daily practice. Hence, I enrolled onto Bayyinah’s Access 1 course, learning basic Qu’ranic grammar and morphology. I have now completed the course and have graduated, alhamdulilllah (this certificate is definitely getting framed lol, when I come around to it 😅). I plan to continue my journey learning Qur'anic Arabic with my spouse, In Sha Allah too. I'm a beginner myself so don't get worried lol. I look forward to it already ☺
Unfortunately, I was married for just over a year. We didn’t have any kind of a marital relationship, the marriage wasn't consummated and this reason lead towards an annulment of the nikah at the local Shariah council. I don’t mind answering any further questions regarding this.
Now back to me, I like the small details in life. I am told that I am bubbly, honest, full of life, trustworthy and I have a good sense of humour. I consider myself to be quite adventurous and I love trying out food. I was blessed with the opportunity to go on Hajj in 2014, alhamdulillah. I look forward to finding the man that Allah SWT has created for me, since He SWT has made us in pairs. In Sha Allah, the goal will be to walk through the doors of Jannah with my spouse, hands in hand. Got to work hard for that though but we will do it together, In Sha Allah.
I have no issue with relocation, however due to my PhD I will not be able to relocate beyond Yorkshire/Manchester for the next 1.5 years. However, if a brother who lives a little far is willing to compromise somehow then I don't mind proceeding on, In Sha Allah.
JazakAllahu khairan for reading and I must have written something right for you to continue reading thus far lol. I am not your typical kind of Pakistani girl, likewise looking for someone who is not typical too.☺
One of my favourite metaphors from the Qur'an is that Allah SWT has made spouses as garments for each other. A garment is suppose to shield you, hide your flaws, accentuate your good features and characteristics, and, above all protect you from external elements. Outside of your own body, the garment you wear is the closest thing to you. In our deen, the relationship with our spouse should be like this. And this is the kind of relationship I would like to have with my husband.
Therefore, I am seeking a practising brother who tries to pray 5x a day and has Taqwa and Tawakkul in Allah SWT. He should have a deep desire to learn the Deen with his wife.
Somebody who is patient with a good sense of humour. A sincere and faithful brother who is conscious of Allah SWT, has a halal income and the maturity and commitment to make a marriage work. Tries to lower his gaze and minimises interaction with the opposite gender, i.e. remaining in the etiquettes of the teachings of our deen. A man who understands his responsibility towards his future wife and children.
Please only get in touch if you are genuinely interested in marriage. British only and preferably a Pakistani as it would be easier to assimilate. Btw, if you are the kind of brother who takes longer than the ladies in the bathroom then it probably isn't going to work lol. Please don't be offended but I have realised that I am not fond of image conscious brothers.
JazakAllahu Khairan for reading and I look forward to hearing from you. May Allah SWT make this journey to find a pious and righteous spouse easy for all of us, ameen.
