A Little Bit About Me
I do not believe in khatams, pirs, taweez’s or milaads, I am therefore looking for someone who does not do these either. This is something that is extremely important to me and hence I start my profile with this. (This is a deal breaker for me)
‘A little about me’...... I’ve no idea what to write! I’m just going to wing it, in hope that what I write will strike a chord with someone.
I think I’m patient, kind, funny and compassionate (I mean who doesn’t think that about themselves). My mum will probably disagree and say I’m pretty annoying.... harmless annoying though.
My spare time is spent with family and friends usually going out to eat or to the cinema, I have recently got into the theatre. I would love to do some travelling if circumstances allow.... like African safari.
I come from a relatively educated and religious background and it’s two things that I feel are important for me to find in a spouse for compatibility reasons.
I’m a pharmacist by profession and have been for a large part of my adult life. However family life will be the priority for me after marriage, given the nature of job I would have to be working in some capacity.
I would like to maintain close ties with my husband's family, I have grown up amongst my paternal side of the family and although at the time I probably did not realise how fortunate I was to have this blessing. I would also hope that my own children would experience this blessing too insha-allah.
We are an Urdu speaking family, although my Urdu really does need to be worked on. We originate from India but also have family in Karachi.
What I Am Looking For
Kindness, religion and education. Someone who is honest with me even when it’s the hardest thing to do. Someone who will treat me well because they fear Allah. Ultimately my qadr.
It is hard to define ones religiousness. I think for some I may be too religious and for others not enough. I think for compatibility it is important that the 5 pillars of Islam are fulfilled. I don’t think I could live in a household where the prayer isn’t regular. I’d like to improve in my deen but I don’t think that this is guaranteed although I very much hope in this. I think that I am open minded but probably not when it comes to religion.
