I am a friendly and fairly outgoing chap in my late 30's, originally from Glasgow but have spent the last 12 years of my life living and working in London.
By the nature of what I do, I have spent the past decade at work literally matching hundreds of people with the right organisation (I specialise in accountancy recruitment if you were at all wondering!), so I guess it's high time on a personal level that I try to find myself a good match...anyway, here's hoping! :-)
A key point which is only fair to mention is that I am a revert (since October 2006 - used to be Hindu). To this day my family are still disappointed why I took this route, but maybe one day Allah will guide them so they too understand. That said, they are all friendly and very welcoming people. As for why I reverted, I am happy to elaborate with whoever is keen to know.
In terms of hobbies, I enjoy going out for nice meals, coffee and general outings. I have been to India 10 times (mainly to see relatives) but apart from that and a handful of European countries, I haven't seen much else in the world - which I would love to do with my would-be spouse insha Allah :-)
I also follow a bit of sports (football, cricket etc) as most guys do, but don't let it control my life. I also love learning more about Islam and watching various khutbahs from the likes of Nouman Ali Khan, Dr Yasir Qadhi, Dr Zakir Naik, Mufti Menk etc - as I find they and others help to inspire me about getting to further know and apply Allah's deen in my day to day life (as best I can) and help me engage in conversation with non-muslims when I get the chance.
In amongst this, I do also love to laugh and joke, watch a bit of stand-up comedy and dare I say, romantic movies, so hopefully that gives you some basic insight about me, and hopefully I haven't put you off altogether by now!
In all seriousness, I hope and pray that Allah successfully guides all those who are looking sincerely for their life partner as we all very well know that marriage is half of our religion. I guess that's why we are here on singlemuslim.com in the first place. Ameen.
An honest; kind hearted girl who has a sense of humour and is God fearing.
Ideally someone who has some knowledge of (or at least has an interest in gaining more knowledge of) Islam and tries to apply it to the best of their ability for their own betterment and also for those who they interact with.
Someone who enjoys travelling, eating out, coffee, makes a genuine effort to be a part of my family (parents, relatives etc) and is generally on the same wavelength as me. It would of course be incumbent of me to truly love, take care of and be totally honest with my future partner as I know I will have to answer to Allah for all of my actions and my entry to Jannah depends on it!
I think I have already written more than what I should. Having too much expectation is unfair, but the key is being a kind, honest and fun-loving person. The rest can follow :-)
Basically, none of us are perfect, least of all me, so am hoping whoever is brave enough to come into my life, also helps to bring out the best in me too.
I'm registering to find myself a partner
