A Little Bit About Me
Salams all.
I am a secondary school maths teacher and a qualified Development Economist. Working with divas means I have a lot of interesting stories to tell almost on a daily basis!

Friends would describe me as someone who is balanced-I am laid back but organised, I am equally happy telling you stories and listening actively, I am genuine and committed, I try to sleep every night with a mind and heart clear of clutter and hurt, but if hurt badly, I will take a step back. Oh, I love food! I cook for myself ensuring my food is healthy and of course for those cheat days, for family and friends (when I have time) but am equally happy for you to treat me to your homemade speciality or go out for a meal. I am not a big spender nor someone who is miserly with money. I am witty, but would never say anything that would make the other person feel hurt/uncomfortable.

I don't believe in material things making me happy or making my life complete, having said that, I do enjoy the finer side of life. I just try to make sure I am in control, not the material things controlling me. However, if you want to win my heart, you must be willing to shower me with stationery-pens, planners, journals, the list goes on!

I enjoy playing netball on weekly basis as well take walks to hear the crunching sound of the leaves on the ground and admire the nature around us. Yoga is something I try to practice on a weekly basis and love music to encourage me to do some movement on a daily basis.

I haven't had many opportunities to travel the world, but would love to explore in the future. I come from a professional yet humble, religious yet moderate family where we don't have any ego issues nor are we narrow minded, except of course, when it comes to cricket!

I love reading books and have started an instagram page where I try to regularly review them. I have recently started creative writing and journalling to channel my thoughts-baby steps!

For my spiritual nourishment, I regularly listen to talks by Nouman Ali Khan, Mufti Menk and Omar Suleiman.

Just to make clear I’m here to find a husband not to date or make friends or mess around and not interested in western girlfriend type relationship

What I Am Looking For
I am seeking someone who is a professional, humble, practising and who can compare my jokes with his. Just comfortable in his skin, who wants to work as a team, but be willing to lead. I have invested this year understanding the roles and rights of a husband and wife, therefore clarity is very important to me alongside the willingness for us to work together in our new roles. I am a person who sees the glass half full, hope Mr Right does too. Oh by the way, I am very witty so would welcome someone to have a banter with, especially when we are old and grey.

Best of luck to all. I pray Allah blesses each one of us with what is right and gives us contentment in every moment.
