A Little Bit About Me
Trying to practice inshallah. Mixed background, English and Middle Eastern. Sunni, if pushed to label it. I'd like to think I'm sincere, honest, kind. I prefer to be quite straight and open with people and appreciate clear communication from others, but generally reserved unless I know someone. Studied Language and Literature to post-grad. Only fluent in English though some basic understanding of Persian, even less Arabic which I'd love to improve on. I work in editing, writing. Enjoy nature, my house plants, propogating, family time. Like travel where possible. I take things at quite a calm pace but do enjoy some adventure. I love the sea. Family is important to me. Family of mixed background, reverts and not. Not interested in any cultural racism, casual relationships, etc. I have one son, it would be nice to have more children though it depends on the circumstances. I am looking to get to know someone for marriage, nothing else please. Happy to share photos in first instance, if basics are compatible, do feel free to ask as I think it's an important component and best established early on. Also prefer to meet earlier rather than later once compatibility is established in the first sense, to establish compatibility in person, or not.

What I Am Looking For
Someone mature, emotionally intelligent, settled, practicing and firmly praying their salat. Someone islamically and knowledge led, kind. I think all true understanding of Islam should undoubtedly lead to the desire to be kind. Stable, practically/ mentally/ emotionally. Someone who prioritises kindness, has a calm and stable character. Someone looking for a relationship with good communication, that accommodates the distinction between a man and woman with respect and reverence for each role, that's vital for me.. I'd like someone who I can have interesting conversation with, who treats me as a spiritual equal, and friend. Who I can trust to respect and support his decisions in life. A provider and protector. I'd like to be in a marriage where we consult and support one another and work through things together. Someone who doesn't take everything too seriously but is able to when necessary.
