I never know what to write in these boxes. Always tough to describe yourself in a pithy comment or two, but I'll give it a go.
I'm currently completing my PhD at the Uni of Manchester, I like big books and I cannot lie. I also like cats and cake, or watching cat videos whilst eating cake, hey, we all need a hobby right? I have ambitions...big things...like learning to drive, or finally managing more than 10 press ups. I have a mission to one day ride all the biggest/fastest/scariest roller coasters in the world, if you're brave enough to come along bring your own sick bag!
I have a weird, sarcastic sense of humour and can generally be found laughing at stupid things. I'm an independent women, I like my own space, and find that attractive in others. But I think I'm at the time in my life where I'm ready to share a space on the settee, maybe even some cake. I'd like to move on to a research associate, or lecturing job after my PhD and would like to meet someone who supports the ambitions of their partner. In turn I promise to do the same.
I do follow my deen, and pray regularly, I feel it helps me keep a balance. There's always room for improvement, and I believe religion is a deeply personal thing, not something you impose or demand from others. We all find our own way.
A man, apparently this site is just giving them away.
Someone who appreciates my weird sense of humour, and enjoys laughing. Someone who's serious about commitment. All I have ever really asked for in a partner is honesty and consistency, and it hasn't been easy to find. I'm not going to pretend I haven't become a bit cynical about the whole idea of 'finding the one' or that I haven't been hurt before, and I'm cautious about the whole idea- but there's got to be someone out who loves cake and cats as much as I do right?
I feel a connection is vital, on both an emotional and intellectual level, witty banter is always welcome, if you can make me laugh I'll be your friend for life. I see marriage as a partnership between equals, I'm a real person and I have flaws, I can't guarantee I will ever be perfect, but I also love unconditionally, whole heartedly and will always have your back.
