A Little Bit About Me
I was born in KC to Kashmiri parents and am an American, a Muslim, and a citizen of the world. I've studied in Costa Rica, Syria, and on the East coast as well as the Midwest and love travel and adventuring with family and friends.
Spanish, Arabic, Kashmiri, and Urdu are all languages I'm conversant in to various degrees. I'm learning basic Turkish now :)
I'm generally a kind and peaceful person who prefers harmony and striving for inner peace through appreciating reality as it is now. I try to make wudu mindfully, aim to stay present in salah, and strive to reflect in dhikr and recitation of Quran.
I don't preoccupy myself with too much worry about the future. I try to take care of the present and somehow things work out just fine. Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived in the now.
Here are words that describe me:
I grew up in Islamic work in the US- but the best thing that happened to me was studying Quran & Tajweed in Syria and bringing that understanding into a new phase of life. My teachers from Syria are my guideposts as I navigate deen & tazkiyyah.
I serve on the board of an international non-profit and have my own small consultancy in the field of education.
I'm an avid Liverpool F.C. & Jurgen Klopp fan. Love sports, played field hockey, basketball, and was an equestrian growing up.
I'm an ENFP in the MBTI designation, and an enneagram 9w8
What I Am Looking For
If you are a person who lives what you love, then I'm interested :)
What I would appreciate in a spouse:
▪Ongoing physical and emotional warmth
▪Patience and comfort during times of turmoil
▪Recommendations in hobbies and activities
▪Self-assurance and generosity
▪His confidence and unwavering patience
Patience is one of my strong suits, and I crave it in a partner. Through times of uncertainty and conflict, I deeply appreciate a spouse with a steady ear and a calm, kind, mature approach.
If you are an INTJ or INFJ, then we should definitely at least talk.
