A Little Bit About Me
I come from a fairly close- knit family. I have 3 siblings. We speak English at home. My parents are very kind, understanding and open minded. They have been very respectful and supportive of my life decisions and have always encouraged me to make my own decisions in my life.

A bit about me: I completed my secondary education in Singapore. I then traveled to Australia to complete my tertiary education. I attained a bachelors degree as an allied health professional and went on gaining experience in my profession from Singapore and Australia. I enjoy my job as it gives a platform to help others; especially children with special needs.

Apart from work, I enjoy trekking and soaking in the beautiful scenery. I also enjoy learning new things. I spent a couple of months in the middle east learning some basic Arabic. The immersion instilled the love of the language. I am currently pursuing private classes to improve in my skills. My goal for learning Arabic is to understand the Qur'an better.

I am often intrigued by books that illustrate a mix of history, culture and fascinating facts about the world. I also read books that revive traditional Islamic knowledge. I attend Islamic classes to improve myself. I have taken up classes on Qibla and seekers guidance to help in my understanding of the religion. I have also spent some time learning on Rahmah Foundation (for women). I hope to continue learning from these avenues as it helps strengthen my belief and practice.

As a person, if I know there is good in something and if it is within my means, I will work towards achieving it. However, if I feel something goes against my principles, I will stand firm. In that way, I am conservative.

I highly value open communication and trust. Family unity and harmony are important to me. I am more of a listener and thinker. Hence, as a wife I see myself as a partner in decision making.

I try to be patient and understanding. I do enjoy the prospect of healthy eating and I would like someone who enjoys healthy eating too. I do believe that eating together as a family will encourage love and unity in the family.

These are just some things to introduce myself. I feel if both parties are serious in wanting to know one another, then Allah will make the way easy.

What I Am Looking For
I would like a spouse who is practicing his religion, prays five times a day and is earning a lawful income. He enjoys learning and works on improving his character. He has a good opinion of Allah s.w.t. When unsure about decisions, he is willing to consult a more knowledgeable person.

He is forgiving, tolerant and even tempered. He tries not to get angry or irrational easily. However, if he does get angry, I would like him to be able to share with me about how he handles such situations. He is patient with people and responsible. He values the rights of others and tries to fulfill them with mercy. He has a good relationship with his family, and will look to integrate with mine, by showing love and respect.

He is also contributing to the community in some beneficial way. His main interest being getting closer to Allah s.w.t through seeking knowledge, applying it to one’s life and teaching to the future generation.

I would like a spouse who would be willing to help me with household chores and actively support me in bringing up educated, well mannered and God- conscious children. He gives me the space to learn and improve myself. One who would understand and accept the others’ strengths and flaws and be willing to discuss things patiently.
