A Little Bit About Me
Alhamdulillah, I am a Moroccan/New Zealander Muslim striving to live by the teachings of Islam in every aspect of life. I work as a university professor and researcher, a role that reflects my passion for education, intellectual growth, and exploring the world through an Islamic lens.
Currently I live in the UAE.
Faith and family are at the heart of my life. I believe in building a home that reflects the Quranic principle of "tranquility, love, and mercy" (Surah Ar-Rum 30:21), where mutual respect and compassion thrive.
Inspired by the Prophetic model, I strive to embody the saying:
"خيرُكُم خَيرُكُم لأَهْلِهِ وأَنا خيرُكُم لأَهْلي"
"The best of you is the one who is best to his wife, and I am the best of you to my wives." (Hadith agreed upon)
This guidance frees me from uncertainty—it offers clarity on how to fulfill my responsibilities as a husband. I aspire to be a Mohammed so as to deserve an Aisha, insha’Allah!
I have memorized portions of the Quran and some ahadith, and my goal is to complete the memorization of the Quran and continue learning. If my future life companion wishes to pursue this path, I will be delighted to support her in any way I can.
Outside of work and faith, I enjoy staying active through sports and outdoor activities, engaging in meaningful conversations, and spending time with family and a small circle of friends. Simplicity and humility guide my lifestyle, and I strive to live with gratitude and purpose in everything I do.
Alhamdulillah vivid reader and over the years, I have collected a personal library covering various fields, including the sciences of Islam (such as Usul eddin, Usul al fiqh, Arabic language, Tafasir, etc.), as well as other subjects related to social sciences and some STEM topics.
Hobbies and interests include Soccer, running, swimming, cycling, kayaking, hiking, Monopoly/chess...games, reading novels, listening/watching clean comedy such as DryBar comedy, Riaad Moosa (south african)....
In terms of dress sense and physical appearance, I aspire to and am guided by Imam Al-Shafi’i’s saying 'His speech elevates him before he sits down, and his speech elevates him after he sits.' Mostly suits for work.

What I Am Looking For
I am seeking a wife who values Islamic principles and modesty and who shares my commitment to building a home centered on faith, tranquility, and mutual respect.
I have deep respect and admiration for those who have embraced Islam later in life. Their journey is often marked by courage, conviction, and a conscious choice to align their lives with Allah's guidance. Having been blessed with the experience of being married to a revert for over two decades, I value the unique perspective and dedication they bring to the deen and family life.
While this is a preference, it is not a strict requirement. What truly matters to me is finding a partner who prioritizes faith, seeks to grow in Islam, and shares the vision of a home rooted in the Quranic principle of:
"They are a garment for you, and you are a garment for them."
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:187)
