A Little Bit About Me
Assalamu alaikum

Firstly, thank you for visiting my profile! To get the cliches out of the way: I like exploring and experiencing new things (who doesn't), watching movies, spending time with my friends and family, reading good books and articles, and being physically active (but also eating lots of dark chocolates!) For some more specific info:

- I am always interested in learning more about the deen and like to attend seminars and religious events. Alhamdulilah I live in a Muslim-centric location that has a lot to offer in terms of courses and events.

- I love hiking and running.

- I like to watch movies (sci-fi, fantasy, crime drama and horror genres) and play games. I especially love board and card games and more recently MMO's/ARPG’s. Anything that's interactive really.

- Although I enjoy going out to eat, I like to cook, especially French cuisine. Bonus if it's quick and nutritious because who wants to spend hours in the kitchen?

- I am into arts and crafts and love to make things for others. I especially enjoy working with Perler and Hama beads. Think bead sprites.

- I read a bunch. These days it's mostly online news articles. However when it comes to books, fantasy and Victorian poetry (a hold over from undergrad) are some of my favorite genres.

- I love animals and have 2 handsome cats that are my pride and joy.

- I love to make jokes and make light of all types of situations. I feel it's important to be serious when the time calls for it, but for most of life's difficulties, humor pulls you through.

- I am a city type of guy. I love being surrounded by things to do (even if I'm not necessarily going to do them) and love the ambiance the city brings.

- INFP personality type, which describes me to a tee.

What I Am Looking For
Someone who has taqwa for Allah swt, first and foremost. With this, the person is sure to have wonderful character and everything else will fall into place.

I would like a partner that is interested in growing together as a couple in both deen and worldly matters. Someone who is supportive of my ambitions as I will be of theirs, whether it be related to career matters or more personal goals.

On a superficial level, I would like someone who is conscious of their health and who enjoys learning. You don’t have to be a gym rat, but be mindful that our body is temporary and we should strive to take care of it.

I would also like someone who has an open mind, is family oriented and understanding of people's differences. It is very important for me to have a good relationship with my in-laws inshaAllah.

While not priorities, it would be nice if the person is romantic, cheesy gestures and all. Someone who's interested in learning more about the deen (a la online classes, lectures etc) and gaming would be cool too.

Please do not contact me if you're not serious about marriage and have no intention of meeting in person if things go well. I am not using SM as a dating site and would hope those reading this aren't doing that either.
