A Little Bit About Me
Salaam and Hello
If my friends were to paint a picture of me, they'd probably use adjectives like kind, humble, shy, witty (or at least I think so), and a self-proclaimed introvert.
I'm hardworking, resilient, and somewhat reserved, but not afraid to unleash my inner adventurer once I am comfortable. I find humour in the quirks of life—it's my secret sauce for survival. I am passionate about learning new things, as I believe in self-development and social mobility.
Like pretty much everyone on this site, I enjoy traveling. I spent a few months working in Dubai and enjoyed it. For me, living in a Muslim country, hearing the azan, and not worrying about where to pray was truly wonderful. If you're up for packing up and moving abroad (doesn't have to be Dubai!), that would be great—but no pressure!
I've grown up in a family that wasn't super religious, but we always observed fasting and prayer. It’s only in the last six years or so that I’ve truly appreciated Islam and taken a greater interest in educating myself about our beautiful religion. My faith has since become my compass, a constant reminder of how lucky we are in more ways than one. I was blessed with performing Umrah early in the year, a transformative experience that deepened my spiritual connection and understanding with Allah. Having said this, I am human and have my flaws but I hope through Allahs mercy that I can continue on the straight path that he has decreed.
I'm not a materialistic soul, but I do appreciate the finer things in life. Nature is my therapy, whether it's walks, hikes, cycling, or exploring historical spots. While I'm not an avid gym-goer, I prefer staying fit through outdoor and indoor activities. Quality time with immediate family and close friends is important to me, as is spending time alone to recharge. I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen and generally eat sensibly, though I do indulge occasionally. As for makeup, I like to keep it simple—who has time for a 10-step routine? Not me.
Alhamdulillah, I have a comfortable job that provides an excellent work-life balance. I am truly grateful for this, as it allows me to spend quality time with my loved ones, especially my elderly parents. Climbing the career ladder is not the ultimate goal for me, though that doesn't mean I don't enjoy my job. If I am ever blessed with children, they would become my top priority, reflecting my commitment to family.

Finally, I’d like to address a question I’m often asked: Why haven’t I married yet? Though it comes in various forms, the underlying question is why I’ve left it until now. The honest answer is that I don't know. It’s never been a matter of not wanting to marry; I truly believe it simply hasn’t happened yet for reasons known best to Allah. Perhaps this is a test for me. I still have hope and trust in Allah’s mercy.

Call me old-fashioned (or maybe not), but receiving messages like "Hey, how r u doing" or "how's your search going" doesn't exactly set my heart aflutter. Grammar, it's the unsung hero of online romance. Incomplete spelling? That's a massive turn-off, not a text shortcut. Let's spell our way into each other's hearts, shall we?.
