A Little Bit About Me
I hate this part, I'm not really good at writing about myself, but anyway here goes!
Firstly, I will like to get the “elephant in the room” out of the way. I have previously been in a marriage that only lasted 7 months. We weren’t compatible and wanted different things, so we got divorced in 2007. I would like to move on with my life and I’m hoping this isn’t going to be an issue. I realise this probably isn’t the best way to start a profile, but I thought it’s better to be upfront about these things.
Anyway back to my profile
I'm a quiet and simple person, just plodding along with my life. I have had a few trips and fall on the way, but nothing much to complain about.
I'm pretty laid back and down to earth. I can be silly and crazy at times, especially when I'm around close friends. However I do also have a serious and a responsible side too.
I like the usual stuff like, travelling and experiencing new culture, social events, shows, meal, art, etc. (A bit cliché I know, but hey why break the norm).
Islamically, I'm embarrassed to say that I do need a bit of work. I haven't been as observing as much as I should be. I would like to improve though, which is why I'm in the process of learning a bit more and putting in practice as much as I can.
I believe that life is what one wants make of it! There is so much to do, see and experience that one lifetime just isn't enough. But hey, that's not going to prevent me from trying. I'm going to do my very best to cram as much I can, Inshallah!
Only one issue though, I probably and most likely will need some help. So if anybody is willing to volunteer (hint, hint), for this 'difficult', but nonetheless fun and very enjoyable 'quest', then please do drop me a line.

What I Am Looking For
I'm looking for a likeminded person with a good mixture east/west culture and with similar interest as me. Someone with an interest in Islam and can help me progress to be a better Muslim/person. Someone who likes travelling, has a sense of adventure and willing to experience new things. Somebody who isn't too overly superficial. I do agree there has to be a certain level of physical attraction, but to me emotional/mental attraction is more important and enduring.
Age isn't an issue as long as there is maturity, but ideally I'm looking for someone around 30 and above. Divorcees are more than welcome. I don't mind any race or ethnicity, but they must be a citizen of a western country (UK, USA, Europe, etc.). I may consider a non-citizen if they are currently living in a western country and have lived there for a while.
Whoa! Just realised how serious and dull this may be all sounding! I'm terrible at these things, sorry.
Basically I just want someone that I can connect with, do a lot of fun things, enjoy life and hopefully settle down and start a family.
