A Little Bit About Me
Assalamualaykum and thank you for taking the time to read my profile.

I’m going to try and keep this section short and sweet, as I would prefer to have a direct conversation. It’s a more natural way of getting to know someone :-)

I genuinely enjoy other people’s company and getting to know people from all walks of life. In social situations, I can be the life and soul of the party, but in the same vein I’m also just as happy in my own company, using the solitude to reflect and read.

I like travelling and when I do go abroad I like to have active holidays. I’ve never understood why anyone would want to spend more than a day at the beach. I like to mingle with the locals and learn about the culture, history and traditions of that country. My most recent trip abroad was to Bosnia where I spent some of the trip visiting historical places and learning more about the genocide that took place there in the 90s (many sad parallels with what is currently going on in Palestine) and the rest of the time was spent seeing the beauty of the country. My favourite part was quad biking in the snowy mountains, which was an exhilarating and freeing experience.

There’s obviously a lot more I can ‘tell’ you about myself, but as part of the journey of finding a life partner I would like to get to know someone and for that person to get to know me in a more natural way. As humans we are such complex beings with many layers to what makes us who we are and a profile cannot come close to conveying that.
