A Little Bit About Me
Grew up down south and recently relocated to Newcastle upon Tyne. I was married in my twenties and have been single for nearly a decade. This time has been such a gift as it’s given me the chance to understand myself better, improve my relationship with my family, focus on my career and achieve my financial goals.

I also underwent a bit of a shift in my understanding of God's decree in recent years. In short, we're to continue the tradition of Abraham, enjoy the many good things God has granted us, make good use of our resources, and be grateful to Him. My profile says 'sunni' but to be honest I generally call myself an Abrahamic monotheist as this feels more authentic to me.

I’m a positive person, I love exploring the natural world and catching live music. I find both offer much to marvel at the beauty of God’s creation.

I have a cat, Nimra, who is very much a scaredy cat. I enjoy being ‘Auntie Hannah’ to my friend’s kids but don’t want my own.

I was married from 2009 - 2015. I have no contact with my ex-husband but I’m still close to one of my former brother- and sister-in-laws.

What I Am Looking For
My parents have been married nearly 50 years and the only advice they gave me was 'marry your best friend' and 'marry someone who makes you laugh'. I'd like to find someone where we build a partnership, enjoying the good things in life together, and supporting each other when things are tough.

Honesty is probably the single most important quality to me. I'm looking for someone I can respect and feel safe around. Someone thoughtful and reflective and who I can be myself with.

I'd like to find someone with whom I can have interesting conversations. I don't feel incomplete, but it would be great to have someone special to share life's highs and lows, and explore further afield. I have lots of travel plans - making up for lost time in the pandemic!
