A Little Bit About Me
Looking for a lifetime tennis buddy to finally lose from - tired of winning against kids šŸ¤Ŗ

A little about me. History, culture, art and architecture fascinates me! Dabble in a bit of photography, art, creative writing, cooking (mainly experimental!)...DIY...well....I generally take an interest in everything. Would love to be able to travel one day. No one is a finished article and thereā€™s always something new to explore or a skill to learn. Whilst Iā€™d like to an opportunity to be my own person, it would be great to share those interests with someone who does too. At the same time I have been brought up in a very family orientated environment and the importance of that foundation is strongly embedded within me. A nesting homebird who likes to spread its wings for a little adventure !



Culturally, I would describe myself as having an equal balance of both east & west. Iā€™m appreciative of the good in both cultures and am an amalgamation of a bit of everything. In terms of religion, I am practicing with room for improvement and am a strong believer in implementing teachings to shape how we relate to and treat others without judgement and deal with circumstances in life. Everyone has their own journey and challenges to face for reasons we may not understand; and so for me though I live my life with certain principles itā€™s also important to not let our moral compass overshadow how we treat others nor allow it to turn into religious pride.


Other than that Iā€™d say Iā€™m quite a grounded individual, not high-maintenance, quite average in fact, as nutty and goofy as I am serious and inquisitive; certainly no claims to perfection at all, far from it and always striving to be better, as we all hope to be Insha Allah :)

What I Am Looking For
Never married? Nope. Didnā€™t grow up around much of a community and so never met anyone. (Thankfully no male cousins were my age range ! šŸ˜‚). Iā€™m happily single Alhumdullilah and so marriage for me means genuinely wanting to spend the rest of your life with that person, not just because ā€œitā€™s about timeā€. My intentions however, are serious and Iā€™m not looking for casual dating. Being super-comfortable & clicking with the other person is important; attraction on some level and some common interests might be part of that ā€˜je ne sais quoiā€™. .... who knows...That being said, I see marriage as team work, to build together, motivate each other to be better individuals, appreciate each otherā€™s interests, to live, to learn, be each otherā€™s better half with love, honesty & respect. Life is too short - donā€™t over-complicate it.


Iā€™m comfortable messaging on a safe medium here and I would request an EARLY meetup, so that we can both be assured who we are speaking to, and if there is any basis to continue to, then swap numbers .....(weeks/ months of talking only to meet-up and realise that it wonā€™t work/ no chemistry /or youā€™ve been catfished ...is just awkward for everyone šŸ˜¬)
