A Little Bit About Me
Salaams to all and thank you for reading my profile.

I have been told that I am funny, intelligent, honest, and kind. I love to travel, the classic arts, reading, and photography. Family is very important to me and I have a very close knit immediate and extended family. I work in the medical field, in internal and family medicine and have a background in emergency medicine as well.

Like many of you, I am on this site because I have heard good things about it and personally, have not had very much luck finding "the one" in my area. I am wary of online sites but am giving this one a try IA!

I may not wear the hijab but do practice Islam. I have a moderate approach in that I balance living in the West with my Islamic duties AH. I hope to make Umrah in the next couple of years IA, preferable after much of the major construction has cleared!

By the way, I do not know how to cook. This is by choice as I simply do not like being in the kitchen. That's not to say I never will learn IA but at least I can get by with the basics for now! It would be great for a guy to know how to cook or want to learn together IA.

What I Am Looking For
I am looking for someone who can be my "partner in crime". Someone who has a passion for life and loves to travel, who can make me laugh at the drop of a hat, and who understands my sense of humor. I am looking for a kind, honest, loving person who is strong in his deen and with whom I can strengthen my own Islam with IA. I want him to be my equal partner IA.

I believe that marriage is an equal partnership and do not at all abide by male dominated culture. The man for me will have a beautiful heart and will be a wonderful husband and future father IA. The man I am looking for has to understand that I too have a career, may even make more money than him (apparently some men are offended by this), and that I have no plans to quit working after marriage.
