A Little Bit About Me

Not judgmental. Integrity is very important. I am honest, kind, easygoing, affectionate, optimistic, respectful, supportive, and caring. Somewhat of an introvert, a little shy.
Family is very important. My spouse's family would be considered my family. Having children is something I would like, InshaAllah. My age is a factor and I have no delusions about that. Medically, I can still have biological children. Adoption is something I would like to seriously consider. The decision to have children and/or adopt is one of many decisions that would be made with my future husband.
I enjoy traveling, experiencing other cultures, dining out, learning, helping others, walks, films, reading, bowling, spending time with family, documentaries, museums, concerts, good conversations, and just having fun...good times...a good laugh and so much more. I just want to enjoy life. Allah has created many beautiful places that I would like to explore with my future husband.
My purpose for using this site is marriage, only finding a husband. The choice for a spouse is based on careful evaluation of compatibility. I do not have anything to hide and will respond to all questions. I believe in balance and moderation, no extremists. I have tried hijabs and other coverings, but I do not think it is for me at this time. Maybe in the future.
Before retiring, I worked as a Registered Nurse. I am willing to discuss this with someone serious and accepting. Open minded. My disability is primarily related to pain that is adequately managed at this time. I no longer work a formal job, but I live a life that is mostly normal. I am establishing a nonprofit organization and helping other organizations that assist those in need. No debt, financially responsible, love helping people. Born Christian, learning about Islam, and interested in reverting. I have a good heart and my time to offer. My future husband and I will become best friends, InshaAllah.

What I Am Looking For
Looking for my best friend.
No superficial requirements because they are not important. I do not mind if you are divorced and have children. Age is not important. Older or younger is acceptable for me. Khadijah, 40 years old, was 15 years older than Muhammad(pbuh) and previously married.
Someone with a good heart that will care for me. A man that will care for me as much as or more than my dad. I am no longer a young girl, but my father would be giving away his baby girl.
My future husband is honest, easygoing, peaceful, strong, optimistic, caring, romantic, supportive, and happy. Has patience, is kind, willing to compromise, and understands the importance of good communication. I want to marry someone that will become my best friend. A good sense of humor is a plus. I have a lot to learn, hopefully with my new husband teaching and helping me. Not interested in someone that is critical or judgmental. No men that anger easily or have a bad temperament. Someone that treats others as good or better than they want to be treated. No extremists please. I believe in moderation.
