A Little Bit About Me
Salam. Being a very traditional and old fashioned person, I never imagined that one day, I will have to resort to signing up on a matrimonial site like this. Although I live and work in such a multicultural city, it is not easy to meet a fellow muslim man through common interests or at social, cultural and political events that I usually attend. Nevertheless, I believe in “qadar Allah” and always see the glass half full.
I wouldn’t want to blow my own trumpet, so I asked a few close friends of mine to describe both positives and negatives of my personality or character if you like. “God fearing, chipper, a deep thinker, responsible, considerate and caring”.
As for my interests, I enjoy reading, and set up and run my own monthly workplace book club. I love driving, swimming, jogging (completed Race for Life 5km for the Cancer Research UK a few years ago). I adore Persian language and literature as it is my native language and I love Persian classic poetry. In my spare time I enjoy going to art galleries, exhibitions, museums, theatre and cinema and socialising with family and friends. I also love travelling and learning about different cultures, traditions and cuisines. I have been to a few Southeast Asian, European and other Asian countries and would love to explore other wonders of the world with my future husband inshaAllah.
I am passionate about social justice and equality and am a member of some political campaigns, which I will be happy to discuss in details with a potential partner if needs be.
What I Am Looking For
I would like to settle down with someone who is kind, genuine, down to earth, professional, independent, God fearing and family orientated Sunni muslim who has not been married before and shares the same values, manners and moral standards as me and knows how to treat people with respect and dignity.
Please be clear that I am not looking for any players and psychopaths as I’m serious in my intentions to settle down and not here for killing my time or having a boyfriend and girlfriend relationships. If I have the courage to put up my photos in public here, it is only fair that I can see your picture on your profile or I won’t reply. I'm also not looking for anyone younger than me. In the past, used to respond to every messages received from young people (10-15 years younger) and declined them politely, who then felt the need to lecture about the age gap between the prophet Muhammad (sas) and his wife Khadija. Well, I am sorry to say this, but you are not the prophet and I’m not Khadija, just gracefully accept people’s wishes and preferences.
I would prefer if you live locally in London or the Greater London area as it is more easier to meet and get to know one another within Islamic boundaries.
Lastly, I do not intend to offend anyone, but I am not interested in divorcees, of course everyone deserves a second chance, and may Allah help you and all Muslims find their righteous spouses.
