A Little Bit About Me
Hello/Salaam, I'm Rakib! I'm currently working as a Research Consultant with a London-based think-tank and the Greater London Authority (Mayor Sadiq Khan's office). My educational qualifications include a First Class Honours in BA Politics and International Relations and a Pass with Distinction in MSc Democracy, Politics and Governance. As I have recently passed my PhD examination and been awarded my Doctorate, I felt this was an opportune time to seriously step up my search by seeing whether SM can help me find the one!

I asked my best mates how they would describe me - their feedback is unsuitable for SM consumption. Personally, I would say that I am ridiculously family-oriented, driven and responsible. My family means everything to me. Without the unconditional love, support and encouragement given by my parents, personal successes would have been far more difficult to achieve. I hope I am granted the opportunity to do the same for my future children. While I am affectionate and caring, I am fiercely ambitious and will do everything I can to provide for my family. Taking on such responsibility would be viewed as a privilege.

I certainly consider myself to be well-drilled when it comes to domestic duties. I am particularly fond of cooking for my family, with butter chicken and lamb biryani being my two signature dishes! I firmly believe that in order to establish a successful and stable family unit, everyone needs to do their fair share, with individual talents and energy being pooled in the name of teamwork. Also, I firmly reject the notion of certain tasks being "below" that of a man, and will support my future wife when it comes to her own career aspirations.

What I Am Looking For
Forgive me if this section comes across as judgemental or harsh. This is not my intention.

Ideally, I would like someone who has never been married and has no children. I am excited by the prospect of marriage, and it would be great to share that new feeling with someone who also does not have previous marital history. Ultimately, my dream is to establish a happy, stable and secure household where the children have the same mother and father.

Education has played a vitally important role in my life, and I will forever be thankful to this country, where I was born and raised, for all the educational opportunities it has given me. Ideally, I would like a woman who is fairly well-educated. Together, I would like us to instil a dedicated work ethic in our children, encouraging them to achieve academic excellence.

In regards to religion, I have no strict demands or expectations. Everyone has their own journey and process of self-fulfilment. Personally, I am more interested in someone's character, as opposed to arbitrary levels of religious observance.

I must stress that myself and my family are an exceptionally progressive, well-integrated unit. We are not fussed by ethnic background or religious denomination. However, if it is of interest, I am predominantly of Bangladeshi origin (Dhaka), with my paternal grandmother originating from Uttar Pradesh, India!
