A Little Bit About Me
As'salamualaikum my brothers in Islam. I am a down to earth Muslima looking for my future husband. I am a seamstress, and a substitute teacher. I love sports. I am mad at the world right now because neither of my football teams made it to the Superbowl(smile). I'm originally from the Big Apple but I have a little country girl flavor because I reside in the Carolinas. I can cook all kinds of food, I love to travel, I workout, I also love poetry, art, Islamic History, plays, etc...
I'm currently trying to upgrade my sewing skills. I have ideas in the works! I spend a great deal of time with my daughters. Two play basketball, and one is on her way to college. I also take a lot of time maintaining my physical self. We only have one body.
I am striving to better myself in religion. I grew up in the Dar-ul-Islam movement. Later, I was taught Hanifi Law which I love and want to prosper in. Mostly, I respect the Sunna and I hope to prosper in Deen with my future husband.
I am an athlete myself. I played basketball, volleyball, and softball, and ran track for a short time too. I don't have time anymore to play but I do love the gym.

What I Am Looking For
I am seaeching for a fun loving, compassionate man who loves and fears Allah and wants to practice the sunna as a family. Ideally, he should be athletic, take time with his physical appearance, and be firm in his Islam. I definatelty do not want someone who avoids salat.
I hope he likes the Lakers. If not, as long as he likes a good basketball game as is willing to go to a few with me, or watch it with me at home.
As you can see, my ideal mate will also need to have a sense of humor. I can be serious, but I'm a funny girl too.
Last but not least, I want my husband to be the Imam of my household, but my friend and lover as well. I am loyal, and I'm looking for the same. Someone who is not afraid to have me at his side and not ten paces behind him. Someone who will lead me and I follow him in the footsteps of our Holy Prophet pbuh.
