A Little Bit About Me
Single UK convert who prefers living outside the UK! Smart, pretty, practicing but not a fundamentalist, love cats. Used to be in dentistry but since I moved to the MENA region (first Syria until the war and then Egypt) have switched to teaching English. Most of my friends are younger than me so perhaps that means that I am young at heart. I brought my boys up single-handed in Syria for 10 years and after this, I came to Egypt as an emergency and I will admit got into a load of trouble in marrying online and in a hurry (escape needed from war) to a completely nonsuitable man. Now divorced al alhamdulillah. I converted to Islam in my mind standing at the altar of a catholic church on Easter Sunday giving out the altar bread beside the priest as an ordained minister - I had an epiphany that I no longer believed this and took the Shahadah twice within the next 2 weeks, first one in a Dawaa shop and the second one officially in Regent's Park Masjid. That was in 1999 so I have been a Muslimah for over 20 years. I have never looked back. I love Islam even though it has left me estranged from my UK family.

What I Am Looking For
A strong personality who is willing to run the house and take care of his lady. I can cook but in all my life I have never done the housework other than putting the washing on. I would rather spend my time caring for YOU. I want someone who believes that Islam states that the man should pay for the home and the house as Allah SWT states in the Quran. I am not interested in someone who thinks that by marrying me they will get UK nationality as this won't happen. I am no longer a resident of the UK and in fact, have even been taken off the electoral register as I have not set foot in the UK for over 15 years. I want to reside in the MENA region. Someone who prays his 5 prayers, and loves Islam. Definitely will not consider a smoker. Prefer at least a small beard. I want someone educated, compassionate, and I want someone who is truthful not just someone on this site who is here to play. I have no interest in fun and games - I mean I will not break Islamic rules so you would be wasting your time. I prefer someone in their 50's for two reasons - the first is that I am young at heart and fit the second is that Inshaa Allah British women live a lot longer than MENA men and I wish to love and be loved for as many years as possible. I want to go walking with my man, feel proud to be the woman holding his hand. I would like to travel maybe once a year at least. One last thing, I dream of going on Hajj with my future husband- I have never been able to go on Hajj or Umrah to date.
