A Little Bit About Me
I have a good sense of humor and appreciate the simpler pleasures in life. I enjoy having conversations about the important issues that have an impact on our lives. With decency, I like to stray from convention. Physical fitness and health is important to me.


Currently, I'm a medical student; anticipated date of graduation is May/June 2015.

I enjoy a smorgasbord of activities: TV, movies, dining out, travel, etc. I'm always up to try new things (spontaneity is great, when it is controlled!). My comrades say that my strongest qualities = loyalty, good listening, and trustworthiness!

We are a middle class family, both my parents are employed professionals. My mother is from Uttar Pradesh and my father is from Hyderabad, India. We reside in NY and have been here for the greater part of 20 years. I have 2 younger brothers, who are currently in college and are not married. My parents instilled strong Islamic values in us, emphasizing the Pillars of Islam. We are moderate, open-minded, and modern. Our definition of modern doesn't equate to less clothes but refers to a progressive way of thinking, without compromising Islamic principles. Although we have been in NY for all our lives, my parents maintained connection to our cultural roots.
I strongly believe that physical contact should be within the bounds of marriage; I would appreciate it if my future partner feels the same.

Our family highly values education, manners, and respect for our elders--- as ordained by Islam.

Kindly, be aware that once I graduate, I have to complete residency; which is a paid training program for physicians who wish to practice in the US, must complete. Although I may select where to apply, I have little control where I will get accepted for a position. This means that I may potentially end up in nearly any state.
