I am a Sunni Muslim who is quintessentially British. You know like talking about the weather and of course enjoys a good civilised afternoon tea.

My friends would describe me as kind, funny, trustworthy, caring, loving, compassionate and fun to be around. Who am I to disagree with them? (!!!)

I love spending quality time with my family and my friends, travelling, going to the cinema, theatre, eating out and getting outdoors. I recently got back on a pedal bike after years and it was so nostalgic! I also took up archery recently. I have quite a varied taste in music too! I equally enjoy time alone to contemplate and connect spiritually.

Although I do love all these past times, I am ready to settle down, have family and enjoy thy next stage in life.

I do not watch much television but confess I love the Great British Bake off. Oh and I do like to bake! I also enjoy reading, particularly poetry by Rumi at the moment.

I give some of my time to charitable causes and support them in the little way I can. From collections, to helping in nursing homes, to holding charity fairs and dinners. There is nothing more rewarding than helping people in need. Even the tiniest acts of kindness bring huge satisfaction.

I do not drink or take drugs etc. and have never been interested in these. Of course I am partial to a nice mocktail! Shaken and not stirred of course.

I come from a respectable and educated family. My family are moderate and by no means extremists. I have been brought me up with good morals. Religiousness to me does not necessarily mean the exterior practice but more so how we behave and act with others. I have completed Hajj and Umrah.

I am not into any discriminatory cultural caste system and it has no place in Islam either. So turn away if you are.

What I Am Looking For
A Sunni Muslim, who balances eastern and western values. In a nutshell I am looking for my best friend and soul mate. I am looking for someone to grow younger with! Sorry UK born and bred only.

Ideally looking for someone divorced or single without children within the age of around 40-48 ish. I might consider somebody with 1-2 children who still sees their children or possibly 1 if they reside with you. Somebody who is a great father.
